Introduction

Welcome to Life is a Classroom, a resource designed specifically for those involved with or affected by ADHD. This resource brings together information, tools and coping strategies on ADHD from a variety of different sources and is grouped together for the caregiver/parent, teachers and physicians.

ADHD impacts on all aspects of an individual’s life, not only during school hours. The World Federation for Mental Health and Eli Lilly and Company’s international Without Boundaries survey found that parents reported they found it difficult to go places with their child (43%); experienced difficulties finding a baby sitter (46%); felt uncomfortable inviting friends and family to their home because of their child’s symptoms (32%) and that their child frequently caused trouble with others in their neighborhood (37%).1 Life has continuous opportunities for learning and developing, outside and away from the classroom environment. This website has been designed to bring together tools and resources on ADHD from a variety of different sources, to help best manage the day so that those living with ADHD get the most out of life.

The Life is a Classroom project has been developed by the World Federation for Mental Health in partnership with Eli Lilly and Company.
